If a single return ticket is all you need, consider using off-peak alternatives: The HTM off-peak return tickets. The off-peak return ticket is a day-return ticket that can be used Mondays to Fridays when stamped between 9 am and 4 pm, or after 7 pm. On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays the off-peak return ticket is valid all day long. These tickets are only on advance sale at HTM Customer service in the Hague Central Station, Hollands Spoor Station and Wagenstraat 35. The tickets are also on advance sale at the Tourist Information Office and at the reception desks of many hotels. Find an advance sale point nearby
The HTM Dalurenretour/ Off-peak return ticket
Is available in a ‘The Hague’ and a ‘The Hague plus’ version and needs to be validated by the driver (bus and tram) or at the ticket-dating machine outside the vehicle at the RandstadRail stops at the start of your journey and on your way back.
The HTM Dalurenretour Den Haag € 2,70 allows you to travel within certain zones. This is the red area in the map below and includes the Hague, Scheveningen, Kijkduin, Rijswijk, Voorburg and Leidschendam. Change vehicles is only allowed on HTM Lines (except night busses) within 1 hour after ticket validation.
And by paying just a bit more the HTM Dalurenretour Den Haag plus € 4,20 (the red plus blue area) also includes Wateringen, Delft, Ypenburg, Zoetermeer and Nootdorp. Change vehicles is only allowed on HTM Lines (except night busses) within 1,5 hour after ticket validation.
